Geoffrey J. Farwell, Esq.

Geoffrey J. Farwell is an experienced estate and trust litigator, representing clients in probate cases for over 10 years. His practice focuses on trust, estate, elder abuse actions, contested conservatorships, inheritance cases,  trust contests, shareholder disputes, financial  accountings, and breach of fiduciary duty claims.

He has successfully guided clients through the whole process of litigation, from pleadings and discovery to trial preparation and appeals, including briefing and oral argument before the California Court of Appeal. In addition to Geoffrey’s litigation practice, he has worked on a wide range of estate planning and business governance matters.

Awarded as a Super Lawyers Rising Star in 2022 and 2023, he has contributed to the Probate Attorneys of San Diego Probate Handbook (2019–2021) and has served on the Executive Committee of the San Diego County Bar Association’s Estate Planning, Trust, and Probate Law Section.

Geoff earned his J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law, there he worked as Articles Editor of the Journal of Climate and Energy Law. Geoffrey holds both a B.S. in Business Administration and an M.B.A. from the University of Redlands.

Outside of his practice, Geoff is committed to mentorship and professional development within the legal community, and he takes pride in helping families and fiduciaries navigate some of the most challenging and sensitive disputes they may face.
